At Duke University and Duke University Health System, we endeavor to have the diversity of our community reflected in our suppliers. With that goal in mind, Supply Chain Management actively pursues partnerships with diverse suppliers in several socioeconomic categories.

This commitment furthers Duke’s development of a strong and vibrant community, both in Durham and the surrounding Piedmont area.  With intent, these supplier diversity practices are in place to encourage growth of diverse businesses, uplift the community through job creation, increase wages and tax revenue, drive innovation and provide economic recovery and sustainability to our community.
